Privacy Policy

Wakeful is a small, early-stage (MVP) service. This page is written in plain English by the team running it, not reviewed by a lawyer, and isn't a formal legal document. If you need something more formal for compliance purposes, ask us before relying on it.

What we collect

Your email address, via Clerk (our authentication provider) when you sign up or sign in.
The monitor configuration you create — names, targets (domains/URLs), and schedules.
Check and alert history generated by the service as it monitors your configured jobs, certificates, and DNS records.

Third parties we share data with

We only send data to services that are directly part of running Wakeful for you:

Clerk — authentication and account/session management.
MongoDB Atlas — where your account, monitor, check, and alert data is stored.
Resend — sends email alerts, only if you enable the email notification channel.
Slack / Discord / Telegram — only if you provide a webhook URL or chat ID and enable that channel, we send your alert messages to the endpoint you configured.

We do not sell or share your data with anyone else.

Data retention

Check history is kept for 7 days on the free tier, 90 days on paid plans.
Account data (your user record, monitors, alert history) is kept until you delete your account.
